Yes, he loved his people, all his holy ones were in his hand.
You have multiplied, O LORD my God, your wondrous deeds and
your thoughts toward us; none can compare with you! I will
proclaim and tell of them, yet they are more than can be told.
By day the LORD commands his steadfast love,
and at night his song is with me, a prayer to the God of my life.
When I thought, “My foot slips,” your steadfast love, O LORD,
held me up.When the cares of my heart are many,
your consolations cheer my soul.
Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were
formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.
How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them! If I would count them,
they are more than the sand. I awake, and I am still with you.
When my spirit faints within me, you know my way!
And the LORD said to me, “Go again, love a woman who is loved by
another man and is an adulteress, even as the LORD loves the
children of Israel, though they turn to other gods.”
The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save;
he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love;
he will exult over you with loud singing.
Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will
fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your
head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value
than many sparrows.
As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love.
To all those in Rome who are loved by God
and called to be saints: Grace to you and peace
from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be
against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for
us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers,
nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height,
nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate
us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
In love he predestined us for adoption as sons
through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will.
See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be
called children of God; and so we are!
1 John 3:1
In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent
his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.
In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us
and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
1 John 4:9-10
He brought me out into a broad place;
he rescued me, because he delighted in me.
2 Samuel 22:20
The steps of a man are established by the LORD, when he delights
in his way; though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong,
for the LORD upholds his hand.
Not by their own sword did they win the land,
nor did their own arm save them, but your right hand
and your arm, and the light of your face, for you delighted in them.
He raises up the poor from the dust; he lifts the needy from the ash
heap to make them sit with princes and inherit a seat of honor.
1 Samuel 2:8
He will tend his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in
his arms; he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those
that are with young.
I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
Who satisfies youwith good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
For he satisfies the longing soul,
and the hungry soul he fills with good things.
